Go ahead. Eat the cookie. Enjoy every bite. No fake ingredients in these bad boys. Why? Because eating the 'real' thing is what will satisfy. And part of good nutrition means being satisfied.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Makes about 24| 15 min prep time | 10 min cook time
1 stick butter
3/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup peanut butter ( I like the brands that have an ingredient label with only peanuts)
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Chocolate chips as desired!
1.) Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2.) If I'm being honest, I just mix all the ingredients together at once. I know baking is scientific and all, but I just like to get the ball rolling (pun intended!)
3.) Grease cookie sheet. I like to shape dough into balls and then flatten with a fork. The crisscross pattern is just classic.
4.) Bake at 375°F until light brown, about 9 to 10 minutes. Remove the cookies from the oven and let cool in their baking sheets before transferring.
* Note: For chewier cookies, bake at 300°F for 15 minutes!
