To me, food is much more than fuel to keep us alive. Food is cultural, food is social, food is religious, and food is celebration. Food can also be a substance to numb pain, pass the time, and act as reward. It is through these emotions and social pressures that we lose touch with ourselves and our natural and normal way of eating. My practice philosophy is to help you get back in touch with this normal eating style, to live without food controlling your life, and to find a balance between a life of health and the pleasure of eating. Because a life without indulging is no life at all!
I believe in using a non-diet approach to overcoming food struggles and building a positive relationship with food. Intuitive eating, designed by Evelyn Tribole RDN,LDN and Elyse Resch, RDN, LDN, is the school of thought that focuses on creating a healthy relationship with your food, mind, and body. My goal is to help you discover you inner intuitive eater, how to stop constantly dieting, and overall take care of yourself and your body.
Through my practice, my goal is to create effective strategies and individualized solutions to nourish a happier and healthier life. I eat all foods that bring me joy, satisfaction, and promote my well-being, and I will teach you to do the same!
